Ingredients
1 litre of water
1.5 cups sugar
2 chai tea bags
1 cinnamon stick
3 cardamom pods
4 pears, peeled
Directions
- Place water, sugar, tea bags, cinnamon and cardamon in a saucepan, bring to a boil.
- Remove tea bags and add the pears.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 35-40 minutes until pears are soft, then carefully remove pears from syrup.
- Increase heat to high and cook syrup for 20-25 minutes until it becomes slightly thick.
- Spoon the syrup over the pears and serve.
