A Safe Path to Healing

For many people, arriving at Quest for Life is the beginning of a life-changing journey.

We want every person to arrive feeling welcomed, safe and cared for from the moment they arrive. However, after years of weather, heavy use and the passage of time, sections of our main driveway and upper car park have deteriorated. Uneven surfaces, potholes and drainage issues not only detract from the beauty of our Centre, but also create safety and accessibility concerns for the many people who visit us each year.

Many of our participants are people living with cancer or other serious illnesses, individuals recovering from trauma, or those with reduced mobility. For them, a smooth, stable and well-maintained entrance isn't simply a convenience—it provides confidence, comfort and peace of mind at a time when they may already be feeling vulnerable.

What Needs to Be Done

This project will restore the main uphill section of the driveway leading to the Centre, along with repairs to the upper car park beside the main building.

The work includes:

• Improving drainage to better manage rainwater and protect the driveway from future erosion.
• Regrading and reshaping the driveway to create a smooth, even surface with the correct slope for effective drainage.
• Strengthening and compacting the existing road base to improve durability and reduce future wear.
• Repairing potholes and damaged areas throughout the upper car park.
• Restoring a level, stable surface that is safer and more accessible for vehicles and pedestrians alike.

These essential improvements will help protect our infrastructure while providing safer access for participants, carers, volunteers, staff and visitors for many years to come.
