Quest for Life provides culturally sensitive workplace workshops to carer gateway organisations to support the physical, mental health and emotional wellbeing of carers. Programs can be tailored to suit an organisation’s objectives and budget and delivered at the Quest for Life Centre or at another venue.
These workshops explore the importance of self-care and the elements that create resilience and peace for those experiencing physical and emotional challenges that inevitably arise within daily life. Our facilitators provide an opportunity for participants to reflect, replenish and leave motivated to make resilience and self-care a foundation for living.
The emotional and physical demands involved with caregiving can strain even the most resilient person. Caring for a loved one, friend or in your work is a valuable and rewarding job but it can also be very demanding; when you’re juggling work, family and friends as well as managing your own emotions. It’s easy to forget about your own wellbeing. Carers are also prone to burnout.
The Caring for the Carer program is for people living with the challenges of caring for others. Over the course of the program, we will explore the importance of self-care and the elements that create resilience within a healing environment and learn ways to avoid burnout. Our facilitators provide an opportunity for participants to reflect, replenish and leave feeling motivated to make resilience and self-care a foundation for living.
Participants will enjoy respite from caring while also learning strategies for making their lives work better and more peacefully.
