    Thriving Teams

Evidence-based workplace program to help teams reset, prevent burnout, and boost resilience for lasting wellbeing and performance. Tailored to suit objectives and budget and delivered face-to-face and/or online.

    About this Workplace Program

Many leaders are noticing the same patterns emerging across their teams — capable people feeling stretched, energy dropping under sustained pressure, and small issues taking longer to resolve than they once did. Individually, these signs may seem manageable, but together they often point to deeper strain in how people and systems are operating.

These patterns are often associated with burnout — a state of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion that can significantly impact workplace performance, wellbeing, and retention. For organisations, this can lead to reduced productivity, increased absenteeism, and higher staff turnover.

Thriving Teams equips leaders, managers, and staff with practical, evidence-based strategies to understand, respond to, and reduce burnout, supporting teams to work with greater clarity, calm, and capacity over time. Quest for Life partners with organisations to address burnout at both the individual and cultural level, recognising that sustainable change requires more than individual coping strategies alone.

Informed by the latest research in neuroscience, mindfulness, and workplace wellbeing, Thriving Teams is facilitated by Quest’s trauma-informed team and combines education, guided reflection, and practical tools that can be applied immediately — at work and at home.

With an approach tailored to your organisation’s culture, structure, and ways of working, Thriving Teams provides staff and managers with:

    • A clear understanding of burnout — symptoms, risk factors, and prevention strategies
    • Practical tools for nervous system regulation during high-stress moments
    • Research-based meditation, mindfulness, and relaxation practices to build resilience
    • Strategies for setting healthy boundaries and sustaining energy
    • The importance of good sleep for focus, decision-making, and performance
    • Breathing techniques to calm the mind and body in real time
    • Emotional regulation skills to manage workplace pressures
    • Insights into how nutrition, movement, and recovery affect mental health
    • Frameworks for personal recovery plans that can be maintained beyond the program

Choose from our set program format or work with our development team to design a Thriving Teams workshop or retreat that meets your organisation’s cultural and operational needs. We also offer optional follow-up consultations and ongoing training to help embed learning, support long-term change, and sustain wellbeing outcomes in the workplace.

    About the team

Quest for Life Foundation facilitators present our workshops with professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and utmost care. We have extensive experience across modalities encompassing holistic health and wellbeing, including programs for healthcare and aged care services, education, first responders, professional services, NGOs and human services, tech and startup sectors, and community organisations.

    About workplace mental health

Recent research from the World Health Organization recognises burnout as an occupational phenomenon resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed. Studies in Australia show that:

    • Up to 46% of employees report feeling burnt out often or always
    • Burnout significantly increases absenteeism, staff turnover, and healthcare costs
    • Emotional exhaustion, reduced effectiveness, and feelings of detachment are the most common symptoms
    • High-risk sectors include healthcare, education, first responders, caregiving and professional services, where sustained pressure and emotional labour are part of the role

Without early intervention, burnout can have long-term impacts on mental and physical health, workplace culture, and organisational performance.

    What attendees have said...

Here at DCA, we like to invest in our staff’s mental health. We researched a few resources and decided to use Quest for Life. We had 1 day mental health training day and it was absolutely fantastic. We highly recommend. The day was fun and collaborative. The facilitators were lovely and knowledgeable and the day was very informative – we learnt about tools and ways to look after our mental health. We will use Quest again for mental health training to invest in the health of our staff – 11/10 stars!!!! We’ve had staff utilise methods since this day and it really brought our team together. We are all so very thankful and will be in touch for further mental health training days.
